How one family vacation changed everything!

Some time around the end of 2022, we loaded up the car and headed up to Big Bear. The drive out of LA is always a relief... once you clear downtown. But after two years of lock downs and zoom school, the climb up the mountains feel especially meaningful. Plus, I was clinging to a confession.
"I'm thinking about changing it up, getting a real estate license" I blurted out. "Maybe getting out of TV"
Without missing a beat... my better half said "I think you'd be great at that"
Huh?
Besides immediately remembering that she was the best thing that ever happened to me, I did have a second realization. "If you wanna be a director make a film. If you wanna be in Real Estate... Build Something. A house, A Fourplex, a Mall... Something. "Developing a property can't be that hard" I quipped, as we wound our way up route 330.
Ha. Man Plans... God Laughs (more on this later;)
I had also recently begun my deep dive down the Bitcoin rabbit hole. The money, property and store of value of the digital era had captured my imagination. Even in a painfully protracted bear market, a nagging question kept pestering me:

How does the world's oldest asset (property and real estate) merge with its newest... (Bitcoin)? How does proof of work and digital energy manifest in the homes, offices and buildings we live in. In Lending. Banking. and Collateralization?
Still a bit opaque. But three later... and a lot has happened. In Bitcoin. In Real Estate. And in my own life. None of it the way I planned.
But all very exciting.

I'm a licensed Real Estate Agent in the great state of California. (Just click & Enter > 02210072)
I've completed a Peperdine University Program on Local Government & Leadership.
And over the past year I've harnessed everything from books (yes the paper kind) to Midjourney, and the latest AI models to dig deep into the LA Real Estate market. Why? To create this site and build a new kind of Real Estate Business.
Now it's time to get to work. So here's the plan.
Sales and Leasing. If you are in the Los Angeles area and you're buying, selling or leasing, reach out. I'm your man.
Neighborhood Watch. Each Week I'll deliver a video focusing on a neighborhood or something great in it. I'll start with Culver City. With filming planned for Mar Vista, Playa Del Rey, Playa Vista, Westchester... and LA's neighboring Mountain Towns.
Podcast: More trash talk and philosophy than pure Real Estate. The CryptoCabin podcast is is weekly discussion about LA Real Estate and the future of Value. Digital vs Physical.
And last but not least I offer this... Service! As a listener. A reader. Potential client or just a curious collaborator: I want to serve you and my community as a whole. Full Stop. Gratitude beats attitude. All day, every day. I'd like to give a tiny bit back to the city and community that has given me so much.
See you soon. Freddy J
